Michael Chaves first got his start in artistic gymnastics at the age of 7, but transitioned to tumbling when he was 11. His career highlight thus far was competing at the 2014 World Championships in Daytona Beach where he finished 11th, but it was breaking his foot that truly taught him some life lessons like continuing to fight for what he wants, and that there are more things in life to be proud of than medals.
Odds and ends: Loves adventuring and seeing the different cultures and traditions that people live every day… Has a college degree in Fitness Leadership and Athletic Therapy.
