Keegan Soehn entered Toronto 2015 as the defending Pan Am Games champion, having won gold at Guadalajara 2011 by more than three points. 2011 was a big year for Soehn, who had won his second senior national title and went on to make his world championship debut. He has represented Canada at the last three world championships. A regular competitor on the World Cup circuit, Soehn enjoyed a successful 2014 season in which he was the top Canadian man at the world championships, won silver at the Pan American Championships and finished fourth at the Pacific Rim Championships. Keegan was named the alternate athlete for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, BRA.
