Grande Prairie Gymnastics Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality  programming while inspiring a foundation of excellence in our community. Since its inception in 1973,  Grande Prairie Gymnastics has grown from a setup takedown program to our now 55,000 square foot State  of the Art home on the Knowledge Campus in Grande Prairie Alberta. We offer recreational, development  and competitive programming in artistic gymnastics, trampoline & tumbling and cheerleading.  

Reports to: Executive Director 

Job Summary

The Trampoline & Tumbling (T & T) Program Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Executive  Director and will work closely with the leadership team to create safe and positive program environment  where athletes reach their full potential in the developmental, provincial and national streams of Trampoline  & Tumbling. 

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Trampoline & Tumbling program. This may include development, mentorship and training of coaches, program planning and scheduling, communication with  and coordination of meetings with all stakeholders, providing a safe and positive experience for all athletes,  special event planning, coaching, competition preparation, competition travel, recruitment of athletes and  coaches and all the day-to-day operations of the T&T program. 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 

• Must have a minimum of NCCP Level 3 Trampoline Training certification  

• Current First aid and CPR Certification (or be willing to obtain) 

• Clear Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search 

• Supervisory experience is an asset  

• Excellent interpersonal skills 

• Strong conflict resolution skills 

• Ability to communicate well with all age groups 

• Ability to exercise sound judgement in the interpretation and application of related regulations,  policies and procedures 

• Extensive knowledge and experience in the T&T program 

• Ability to present a neat appearance and to deal tactfully and effectively with the community at all  times 

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
