TIANJIN, China – Kristina Vaculik of Oshawa, Ont., qualified for three event finals to highlight an impressive Canadian performance at a World Cup gymnastics competition.

Nansy Damiamova of Montreal and Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs of Toronto qualified for two finals apiece while in men’s competition Brandon O’Neill and Jared Walls of Edmonton are also headed to the final eight.

Brandon O’Neill of Edmonton, Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs of Toronto, Nansy Damianova of Montreal, Kristina Vaculik of Whitby, Ont., and Jared Walls of Edmonton will be competing at the artistic gymnastics World Cup event May 14-15 in Tianjin, China.

TERREBONNE, Que. – Two-time Olympic medallist Karen Cockburn of Toronto continued an impressive comeback from knee surgery with a victory on Sunday at the All Canada Olympic selection competition in trampoline.

The competition is the second of three domestic events in the Olympic selection process.
